God is Almighty. There is nothing impossible for God. Being the Maker of the whole universe, everything is subject to God.
Based on the above facts, many people think that God is responsible for bad things happening to their lives and others because of the Sovereignty of God. But it is the misinterpretation or misunderstanding of God's power.
God does not seem to use His power as we expect God to use. Although God is Almighty, God has bound Himself with two things so that God would not use His own power as God wants. In other words, God has limited His own power to two factors. Look at the below scripture:
(Psa 138:2)
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God has magnified His own Word above His Name. In other words, God has limited His power to His own Word. God never uses His power in contrary to His own word. God always respects His own Words. That is why Jesus says in Matthew 24:35 that Heaven and earth shall pass away, but His Word shall not pass away. Truly, God's Word is eternal.
Secondly, God has bound Himself with His Covenants. Look at the below scripture:
(Psa 89:34)
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
God would not use His power by breaking His own covenants. God has limited His power to His covenants.
If you happen to wonder why God is not using His power in a particular situation, refer to His Word and Covenants and see whether God is bound by them not to use His power under the particular situation as you expect.
For example, God is not using His power to rebuke the devil because God has shared God's power with us to rebuke the devil. As a result, God wants us to use the power God has given us to rebuke the devil and overcome problematic situations created by the devil.
Today, many people think that God brings sicknesses to their bodies because of their sins or any other minor shortcomings in their lives. The truth is that if we live in sins, it is not God who brings sickness to our bodies, but the devil. Ours sins empower the devil to afflict us with sicknesses. Hence, we should overcome the sin by using the power God has given us through the Holy Spirit. But this is not enough. Sometimes, we must also use the power God has given us to fight against the devil in order to preserve our healing. Why?
It is not only our sins that empower the devil to attack us with sicknesses. Our unawareness of the power in us against the devil can empower the devil to make us sick. For example, if you believe that God punishes you with sicknesses, this misunderstanding can be a cause for the devil to afflict you with sicknesses as the devil knows that you would never use the power given to you by God to fight against the devil in case the devil tries to make you sick.
(Jas 4:7)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
If you are sick, get angry with the devil and the sickness. This would cause you to fight against the devil and kill the sickness in you by using the power in you. If you are financially hit, get angry with the devil and the poverty. This will cause you to fight against the devil by using the power in you.
There is nothing wrong in getting angry with the devil and the evil created by the devil. This kind of anger has been manifested by Jesus Christ Himself. If you become passive and wait upon God until God gets angry with the devil and rebuke him, you miss the point. Truly, God has already got angry with the devil and passed the eternal judgement to the devil.
Now, God has given us the power though Jesus Christ to get angry with the devil and overcome him. If we are not using the power given to us, God would not use His power and rebuke the devil on our behalf as God would not override the power given to us. This is the reason why many people do not receive healing although they go through begging type of prayers before God.
