Story of Satan - Part 7

Who is the Dragon?

The interpretation of this symbolic beast is found in the same vision. Look at the 9th verse:
(9)  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Yes, the dragon in the above vision is Satan. Now look at the 4th verse:
(4)  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The stars in the 4th verse indicate angels. Why? because stars are symbolic to angels in the Book of Revelation. Look at the below scripture:
(Rev 1:20)
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

However, these angels do not represent one third of the angels in Heaven (God's Dwelling Place). As Satan was trying to be a God for the world, he deceived one third of the angels who were appointed as the ministering spirits over different geographical locations on the earth.

How did Satan deceive these ministering spirits?

The only biblical evidence which shows angels other than Satan, were sinning against God is found in the Book of Genesis. Look at the below verses in the 6th Chapter of the Book of Genesis:
(Genesis 6:1-2)
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The sons of God in the above scriptures mean the angels of God. I believe these angels could be the ministering spirits of the humans on the earth. Obviously Satan should be there behind the sin of these angels. In the sense, these ministering spirits would have been tempted by Satan to come to the daughters of men on the earth.   Thus, this could be the moment where Satan brought down one third of the angels appointed as the ministering spirits, to the ground. As Eve was tempted by Satan to sin against God, even the ministering angels would have been tempted by Satan to sin against God

This process of incidents is shown in the vision as the stars were casting to the earth by the tail of the dragon. The heaven wherein these angels were dwelling was the heaven in the Physical Realm.

However, Satan could know that God was preparing to send a Messiah (SAVIOUR) to the world to save man from Satan. He knew it through the prophets such as Isaiah and Ezekiel who lived in the Old Testament Period.
Satan thought Messiah would be a man who would rule the world by fighting against Satan. Hence, Satan was on the look out all the time by being behind the Church until Messiah would be born in order to destroy him just because he  thought that killing Messiah would be the end of God's plan for the salvation of man.

Now, look at the 6th verse:
(6)  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The 6th verse shows how the Church is looked after by God for 3.5 years (last part of the Tribulation Period) during the reign of the Anti Christ, after the Rapture takes place. During this period, the Church represents the Remnant  (those who are left behind at the Rapture).

Now let's look at the verses from the 7th to the 9th that explain the same vision:
(7)  And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
(8)  And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
(9)  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The above verses show what happened to Satan at his first visit to Heaven after Jesus Christ (Man Child) was ascended to Heaven. But this time Satan had to face something he had never expected. Michael (Chief Angel) and his angels fought against Satan and against Satan's angels. Satan too fought back with his angels as all of them had angelic powers up to this moment. But during this battle, Satan and his angels were defeated and cast to the ground.

Further, the 8th verse clearly explains that Satan and his angels lost their place in Heaven. What does this really mean?

Yes, casting of Satan and his angels to the ground means that Satan and his angels losing their access to Heaven as the angels of God. In the sense, it implies that Satan and his angels lose their angelic positions and angelic powers at this battle. This is where Satan (including his angels) becomes a man limiting their dwelling only to the earth.

Now look at the 10th verse:
(10)  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

The 10th verse shows the heavenly announcement of the salvation in Christ, for the people in the New Testament. This verse further reveals that Satan ceases to be the accuser of the humankind before the throne of God as he has no access to be before the Throne of God in Heaven anymore. However, during the Old Testament Period, Satan was always accusing people on the earth whenever he presented himself before God. Look at the below scriptures:
(Job 1:6-11)
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

The above passage of the Scripture reveals how Satan accused a righteous man (Job) on earth when he presented himself before the Throne of God in Heaven. This is only one biblical evidence to prove that Satan had been an accuser of humans on earth when he visited Heaven. However, the 10th verse in the above vision indicates that Satan had always been accusing people in the same manner right through the Old Testament Period. He was accusing people before God so often that he was called 'THE ACCUSER'.

According to these scriptural evidences, we can come to the conclusion that Satan cannot accuse the people in the New Testament anymore before the Throne of God. Instead, our Lord, Jesus Christ is pleading before the Throne of God, the Father,  on behalf of us all the time. As a result, the people in the New Testament are enjoying the GRACE of God to the fullest. In other words, the New Testament Period is the Period of Grace. But unfortunately, this Grace is so much that today many people have come to the point that there is no God to punish people whatever sins they commit under the sun. Thus, many nations have become ungodly denying the presence of A Living God in a place called 'HEAVEN'.
