Are miracles a part of the ministry in the church?

Should we believe in miracles in the 21st century as happened in the 1st century?

Yes, the Kingdom of God is the Power of God. With miracles, the Church was set up by Christ. Then He gave the same authority to His disciples to perform miracles and win new souls to the Church.

When we read the Book of Acts, we see how people were gathered to the disciples day by day. They came in hundreds and thuousands.

To bring these people to the salvation, what did the disciples do?
Did they visit them from door to door?
Did they use any marketing tools or promotional campaigns, or awareness programmes?
Did they plan to join the politics with the intention of influencing governing bodies for the betterment of the Gospel?

No, they never toiled with such earthly methods (some methods are even satanic) to bring new souls to the Church. They simply performed one miracle in a city, and then people in hundreds and thousands joined them.

(Act 9:36-42)
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

But today, how our present Church try to bring new souls to the Church. Yes, they try to do it with their MOUTH (with powerless mere teachings) and different marketing strategies. Just like a commercial product, they try to advertise the Gospel. Then what has been the final outcome?

Yes, one church building is sufficient for years and years to hold the people because when one new soul steps in through the front door, two old souls leave through the back door. Why?

Because there is no power in what is preached. What is preached is not confirmed with signs as done by the disciples in the 1st century.

(Mar 16:19-20)
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

There are no miracles at all.
Believers perish from various fatal diseases such as Cancers and Leukemia just like those in the world.
There is no time for testimonies during the service as there are no testimonies.

Is this the way Jesus has wanted us to continue after the 1st century?

Not at all. Jesus has wanted the latter Church to do greater works than what He did on earth. Look at the below scripture:

(John 14:12)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Did the disciples in the 1st Century do greater works than those done by Jesus? No, they did the same kind of miracles.

Then, from whom does Jesus expect greater works than the works done by Himself?

It is from the Matured Church. In other words, it is from the present Church. Therefore, no denomination can say that miracles are not necessary for their ministry or there is no need to go behind miracles.

Miracles are a part of the Ministry in the Church because by miracles the Church is supposed to win new souls in hundreds and millions.

What is the cause of this pathetic situation in the Church?

The simple answer is that the Church has gone away from the First Love. Today, people do not want to seek the Lord diligently. The Bible says whoever seeks Him diligently, surely they shall be rewarded.

(Hebrew 11:6)
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Many have not uderstood the meaning of 'DILIGENTLY'. Truly, some seek the Lord, but they are not rewarded as they have not found Him as they have sought Him diligently.

Praise the Lord! Even in our generation, there are saints here and there in the world, who have sought the Lord diligently and then having found Him, perform just like the disciples in the 1st Century. But unfortunately, they are very, very few in number compared to the unsaved souls in the world.

Let's seek the Lord diligently, so that we would be able to experience the same POWER which the saints had experienced in the first century.

When we find the Lord, we shall be able to preach the Gospel with AUTHORITY and POWER by confirming the Word with all signs and wonders so that many more shall be gathered to the fold than in the first century.
