Are we on the mission?‏

Deuteronomy 34:7
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
We read in the opening scripture that Moses had enjoyed a good eyesight and fitness in his physical body until he faced death at the age of 120 years.

But Abraham, Isaac and Jacob could not preserve their physical strength when they were becoming old. We could come to this conclusion as the Bible clearly says that the eyes of Isaac (son of Abraham) and of Jacob, (son of Isaac) whose name was changed as 'Israel' by God were dim when they were in their old age. Obviously Abraham would have been in the same manner as even Abraham was very old when he died.

Genesis 25:8
Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
Genesis 27:1
And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see...

Genesis 48:10Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see.
If that is the case of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel), how come Moses enjoyed such a blessing which was not enjoyed by his Fathers?
Was Moses superior in anything to Abraham or Isaac or Jacob in order to enjoy a special blessing from God?

Not at all...

There is a secret behind Moses that brought him this greater blessing. By the time Moses was becoming old, he was leading the children of Israel through the wilderness unto their promised land of Canaan because God had already chosen Moses for this mission. The mission wanted Moses to preserve the strength in his physical body, especially the eyesight.

As a result, God had to remove the law that connected the age of Moses with the gradual change in the physical strength in his body. It is something against the universal laws which have already been set by God Himself. A similar example is the changing of the movement of the earth with respect to the sun for 24 hours, by God on hearing to the voice of Joshua.

Dear friends, even today God is able to change the universal laws that govern us if we find ourselves on a mission, which requires God to do so. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not on a mission when they were becoming old. So they were subject to the existing laws in the universe that have already been set by God.

Do you know the mission of the people in the New Testament which requires God to move in such a way to preserve our physical strength against the universal laws?

Yes, it is not leading a holy life, it is not leading a righteous life, it is not attending to Sunday mass regularly, it is not keeping the Ten Commandments... but it is 'keeping the greatest commandment of Christ, also know as Great Commission' ( I prefer to call it 'the last will of Christ), which is Preaching the Gospel to nations.

Even today, there are a handful of spiritual leaders in the world, who enjoy a supernatural healing power in their physical bodies as they are preaching the Gospel to nations.

I strongly believe all Christians who are busy enough in the mission of preaching the Gospel to nations
can claim God for the same blessings (physical strength and good eyesight) enjoyed by Moses. Such Christians will never wear spectacles.

Let's say, "O Lord!, my eyesight will never become dim or my physical strength will never abate as I am also a Moses in this generation leading millions and billions of people to the spiritual land of Canaan by preaching the Gospel."

God would definitely do it for us as our claim is based on the greatest commandment in the New Testament provided we prove that we are truly on the mission.
