The answer is 'NO'. I know many believe that there are ministers who can heal people miraculously only by using their gifts of healing. Well, for someone to heal the sick, obviously, that person must have the gifts of healing because it is these gifts that enable him to release the power of healing in his spirit to the sick. However, even the sick person must have 'FAITH' to receive this power of healing into his body.
The faith of the sick person can take two forms, namely ACTIVE and PASSIVE. Let's look at these two types of faith by referring to the Scripture.
ACTIVE FAITH
(Mark 5:25-34)
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Truly, Jesus Christ did not know until the above woman was healed. The power of healing in Jesus Christ flew out though the active faith of the woman to her sick body as soon as she touched the garments of Jesus Christ. Let's look at a small example to understand how this healing was flew out of Jesus Christ without His knowing.
A power station is distributing electric current to the houses and buildings who have received the connections from it. The Electricity Provider (Electricity Company) has extended a wire (conductor) to each and every building from the main cables (conductors) running through the lamp posts. However, someone can take the electric current in the same way, even without the knowledge of the Electricity Provider, if a proper conductor is connected to a main cable as the same law is applied where the flow of electric current is concerned. This flow of electric current is still flowing out through this wire (conductor) too as it has to obey the law of Electricity.
The whole universe is functioning under the laws and principles set by God through His own Word. In other words, the whole universe is bound by the Word of God. If God used His Supernatural Power in such a way that contradicts His own Word once released, the whole universe would fall apart. However, we still continue to see everything in the physical realm operating in the same way because God honors His own Word and God has bound Himself by His own Word.
So called Technology is running on the laws and principles set by God through His Word when He was creating the physical realm. The more people get to know these laws and principles, the more they can make use of them for their own benefit. For example, when Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, the law of Electricity was there but they had not recognized it. If they had recognized it, they would have used it to light their garden at night as God would not disturb it as God cannot move against His own Word.
Similarly, the Spiritual Realm too operates by the laws and principles set by God through His own Word. God set the power of healing in Jesus Christ to flow through the FAITH of the sick. So, this is a law already set by God. The power of healing can be made flown to the sick even today if it is coupled with their FAITH. The woman in the above story received the power of healing for her body as soon as her own faith was connected to the same power of healing in Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus said to her that her own faith has made her whole.
If you further meditate on the above story of the woman, you may understand the fact that we need not pray for healing. We do not have to beg God for healing with long prayers. Every Christian, who has received the Holy Spirit has the power of healing in their own spirits to heal their bodies. In other words, Jesus has already healed every Christian who has been baptized with the Holy Spirit. Look at the below scripture:
(1Peter 2:24)
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
The above verse confirms that we are already healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ. In other words, the power of healing is already made available in the spirit of every Christian who has received the Holy Spirit. However, many are still sick as they have not coupled their faith with this power so that their body could be healed.
