What is the greatest insulator for the flow of power of healing to flow through the sick?
Yes, it is nothing else, but "UNBELIEF".
UNBELIEF
You know, some people question the power of healing as to why there are hospitals in this world if such healing is in existence. Unfortunately, this question is asked not only by the unsaved, but also by many Christians. The Bible clearly says that Jesus healed the sick and raised even the dead and He has given the power to us to do the same things and even greater things.
(John 14:12)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
But Jesus never went behind the sick and the people of the sick and the dead to perform these miracles because it was not possible even for the Son of God to heal anybody or raise any dead person without FAITH manifested in the sick or other people related to the sick or the dead as appropriate. Hence Jesus could not heal even if He wanted when people were dominated by unbelief. Look at the below scriptures:
(Mark 6:1-6)
And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
However, there was always one thing Jesus did without the request of the people. Guess what?
Nothing, but TEACHING & PREACHING.
WHY TEACHING & PREACHING WITHOUT REQUEST?
Jesus went from city to city, from synagogue to synagogue, teaching people. When people heard the Word of God, many (not everybody) started to believe. In their belief, they brought the sick to Jesus for healing. At this point only, Jesus healed the sick. Thus teaching and preaching helped people to develop faith.
Jesus used healing as a confirmation to what He was teaching. Jesus performed all miracles in order to confirm what He was claiming to be. Jesus preached that He was the Christ and then proved it with miracles to those who believed. Although, Jesus healed the sick, He never meant through His ministry that He would eliminate diseases out of the present world, but He would do so in the world to come.
Look at the below scriptures:
(Matthew 4:23)
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
(Matthew 9:35)
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
When you read the above scriptures, you can notice the order Jesus followed. He first taught and then healed. Why? because only by hearing the Word of God, FAITH comes. Without faith, it was impossible for Jesus to heal the sick.
(Rom 10:17)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So, He preached for people to hear. When they heard, many believed and received faith. When they received faith, Jesus healed them. Simple Logic...
Now, can you imagine why hospitals have to be there in the present world all the time, even when the power of healing is available in the church?
Truly, if we want we can close all the hospitals in this world. But we need two things in order to do it according to the law of healing. Guess what?
