Today, if we are weighed before God, according to the Word of God, none of us should be found wanting. In other words, all of us should lead a well balanced spiritual life before God all the time.
However, without the knowledge of the Word of God,
or the Scripture, it is impossible to have an assurance of ourselves
whether our spiritual life is balanced before God because the Word of
God is the weight against which we have to balance our spiritual life.
Today,
the enemy (the devil) attacks many children of God very easily as their spiritual
life is not balanced. The enemy attacks them from the area they are found wanting before God.
There are three aspects for us, being the people in the New Testament, to balance our spiritual life.
1. Spending a quality time in the presence of God by praising & praying on a daily basis.
2. Reading, Studying and Meditating the Word of God on a daily basis.
3. Spreading the good news (Preaching the Gospel)
If anyone is having any excuse for not adhering to any of the above three processes, they are exposed to the devil for any kind of attack at any given time.
For
example, today some churches are very concerned about the Word of God.
They pay their full attention for bible studies and other programmes
that educate the congregation about the Scripture. However they have no time to share what they learn with new souls (Gentiles). All they try to do all the time is to nourish themselves with what they learn from the Word of God.
Certain
denominations are well active in gospel work. They work day and night
to spread the Word of God, by visiting people, holding crusades etc. But
their prayer life is dead before
God. They hardly find any time to spend a quality time before God as
they are so busy with the gospel work. These people are attacked by the
devil very often in their evangelical jobs as they hardly hear the voice
of the Holy Spirit due to the lack of the presence of God and therefore
most of the time, they are not led by the Holy Spirit in their
evangelical ministry.
There are other denominations that teach
their people to sit on mats and pray day and night saying 'Halleluiah...
Hallelujah...'
These people say they are perfect in Christ and no
one can be matched with them. But unfortunately these are the most
vulnerable to satanic attacks in their daily walk with God as they have
despised the last will of Christ, - preaching the Gospel.
When
we study the life of St. Paul, we can understand how he balanced his
spiritual life with the above three processes. He was not found wanting
in any area so that the devil could not stop him by any means.
Let's
balance our spiritual life by the above three processes before God so
that the devil would not find any cause to accuse us before God and
thereby attack us.
