Life of Judas Iscariot - Part 1

Jesus started His ministry in this world with many disciples, but at a particular point, He chose 12 out of them all and appointed them as APOSTLES. Luke 6:13
13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

After these 12 disciples were appointed as Apostles, they were always with Jesus.

Luke 8:1
1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

There had been many private conversations between Jesus and the 12 Apostles in the absence of the rest of the disciples. Jesus had His last supper with the twelve. Therefore these 12 Apostles are considered as the foundations of the kingdom of God. That is why in Rev 21:14, we read that the names of 12 Apostles have been written on the 12 foundations of the New Jerusalem.

Rev 21:14
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

While Jesus was still with the 12 Apostles in the world, Jesus made a special promise for them. Look at the below scriptures:
Matthew 19:27-28

27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Besides all these, Jesus had chosen one of the 12 Apostles named 'Judas Iscariot', to betray Jesus.

Well, why did Jesus not select some other disciple outside the apostleship to fulfill the Scripture?

Today, many believe that Judas Iscariot is not among the 12 Apostles in the kingdom of God.
Some say Judas would end up in eternal fire.
Even the rest of the 11 Apostles thought the same way. That's why after Jesus was ascended to Heaven, they thought of replacing Judas Iscariot by selecting Justus or Matthias as the 12th Apostle .
Acts 1:23-25
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place
.

Really what would be the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot who was chosen by God to fulfill the Scripture by betraying Jesus?
Did Judas Iscariot really lose his throne in the kingdom of God, which Jesus promised for the 12 Apostles?

However, if not for Judas Iscariot, our salvation would not be a reality. Isn't it???
