Matthew Chapter 24 - Part 6

Before the revived church steps into the great tribulation period, the church is given a sign. Yes, it is the abomination of desolation that takes place in the holy city of Jerusalem.

(Mat 24:15-21)

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Before the end of the great tribulation, there is another trumpet to be blown (3rd WOE). Now we see another trumpet sound in Matthew 24 when the RAPTURE takes place.

(Mat 24:29-31)

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

According to our explanations, this should be the last trumpet sound
as we have already noticed the sounding of the 6th trumpet and subsequent events in Joel 2 before the RAPTURE. How do we prove that it is the last trumpet (7th trumpet) that is mentioned at the RAPTURE???

Well, the RAPTURE was revealed to St. Paul before it was revealed to St. John. St. Paul has talked about the RAPTURE very clearly in his writing to the Corinthians.
(1Cor 15:51-52)
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

St. Paul refers to this information as MYSTERY. According to the MYSTERY revealed to St. Paul, truly, immediately after the last trumpet (7th Trumpet) sound, RAPTURE takes place.

There is a remarkable sign in the sun and the moon just before the RAPTURE. The sun becomes black and the moon does not give light. However, this mystery was not plainly explained to St. John. Look at the below scriptures:
(Rev 10:4-7)
And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

St. John was asked to seal this MYSTERY in the Book of Revelation as it had already been revealed to the servants and prophets of God. Truly, St. John is having this vision after the sounding of the 6th trumpet. In another word, St. John was told  that MYSTERY is going to take place as soon as he hears the sound of the next trumpet, which is the 7th.
