Power in your tongue

Exodus 14:13-14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

The above portion of Scripture shows how Moses comforted the Children of Israel when they were terrified at the coming of the chariots of Pharaoh pursuing them when they were stuck at the Red Sea. At this juncture, the Children of Israel had lost all their hopes of escaping from Pharaoh and his army as they had come to the dead end of their journey as the Red Sea was preventing them from further moving.

Being the Leader of the Children of Israel, it was the duty of Moses to comfort them and give them a direction at this most critical moment. The opening scripture shows how Moses did this. However, when we read the next two verses (Exodus 14:15-16), we understand that Moses had cried unto God asking for God's help. Look at the same verses below:
Exodus 14:15-16
15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea
.

God's answer to Moses reveals that God had wanted Moses to stretch out his rod (so called the rod of God) over the Red Sea and divide the sea without calling God.

But can a man divide a sea?

Of course not. Then why did God ask Moses to divide the sea without calling God for help?

Well, God trained Moses to perform many signs and wonders in Egypt by stretching the rod of God. God never asked Moses to pray to God before Pharaoh to perform any of these signs and wonders. Instead, God taught Moses to speak out the words of authority in the manner of commanding before Pharaoh in the name of the Lord.

By the time Moses came to the Red Sea, Moses was well trained to speak out words of authority to perform miracles by using the rod of God.

But why didn't Moses divide the Red Sea in the first place without crying unto God?

Yes, there is a fair reason for Moses not to act in this manner. The reason is that Moses had not performed any miracle in Egypt without consulting God.

However for the first time, at the Red Sea, God revealed Moses that God had wanted Moses to perform a wonder (great work) by using the rod of God without consulting God for any kind of instructions.
Well, God's reaction to Moses' crying unto God for help at the Red Sea, gives us a powerful revelation. Yes, God reveals the fact that Children of God have the authority to call for power from Heaven to make the impossible possible. It is a matter of speaking words of authority in the manner of commanding and get things done by the power of God.

Being the people in the New Testament, today, tremendous power from Heaven has been made available for us to create our own world as we want. But there is a way of getting this power activated on our behalf. As Moses was instructed to do, we must speak out words of authority in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. When we speak out, spiritual power is released from Heaven
to the physical world at the commands of our mouth and we begin to witness things happening as we speak out. This is awesome!

But remember, FAITH matters to a great extent in this exercise. In addition, the knowledge of the Word of God plays a big role in speaking out such words of authority as these words should be according to the will of God. (The will of God is revealed by the Word of God.)
