Sin of blaspheming

1 Timothy 1:19-20
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

When we start with the first chapter in the Book of 1 Timothy, we can see how St. Paul was advising Timothy with many words of instructions on various matters. When we come to the 19th and 20th verses in the same chapter, we find two persons, namely Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom St. Paul had delivered to Satan for the sin of blaspheming. However, what these two persons blasphemed about is not mentioned here.

Yes, what is the blaspheme made by Hymenaeus and Alexander, that caused St. Paul, who has talked about 'LOVE' so deeply in the 13th chapter in the Book of 1 Corinthians, to deliver them to Satan?

Praise the Lord!, we find
in 2 Timothy 2:17 what kind of blaspheme Hymenaeus made. Look at the below scriptures:
2 Timothy 2:16-18
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
Yes, the blaspheme is concerning the TRUTH.

Today, there are many people who blaspheme like Hymenaeus concerning the TRUTH. As St. Paul has explained, these people shun profane and vain babblings with wrong doctrines which are not based on the scriptures at all. When we look at the reaction of St. Paul to this sin of blaspheme about the TRUTH, we can understand the gravity of judgement that would come upon the FALSE DOCTRINES.

Hence, let's make sure whether we are in the sound doctrines according to the teachings in the Holy Bible, which has been given to every Christian in common, lest we find ourselves blaspheme about the TRUTH.
