STRESSED OUT ?

Matthew 11:28
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

How many times have we read the above verse in the Bible in our life?

What is this rest Jesus Christ is talking about here? Is it a rest we are going to enjoy in the kingdom of God or a rest in this present world?

No one labours and is heavy laden in the kingdom of God. In the above scripture, Jesus is talking to a group of people who are stressed out for making a living in this world.

We know that we cannot just live without working. But if we are stressed out because of our work, this stress is from the devil.

The below scripture further reveals that there is no need for children of God to be stressed out in order to make a living in this world.
Matthew 6:31-33
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things
.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Today, it is a fact that many Christians are leading a stressful life because of their jobs. They have lost their inheritance from God for the simple reason that they do not seek the kingdom of God. Being the children of God, if we lead a stressful life, there is no difference between us and the Gentiles according to the above scripture. (Matthew 6:32-33)

Yes, today, many  Christians are stressed out, as they seek the kingdoms of the devil in stead of the kingdom of God.

Let's fulfill the condition of seeking the kingdom of God so that the Lord would fulfill His promise of giving us a stress-less and peaceful life even in this world.

But remember, even in seeking the kingdom of God, we have work to do. But we never be stressed out for this work as Jesus says in the next two verses just after the opening scripture,
' Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.' (Mat 11:29-30)

Let's be aware of these promises in the Word of God and proclaim them from our mouth day and night so that they would be fulfilled in our own lives as what we speak is what we receive.
