True Fear of God

What do you mean by THE FEAR OF GOD???

The Scripture says the fear of God is the beginning of the wisdom and understanding. Look at the below verse:
(Psa 111:10)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:...

We tend to think that we have the fear of God all the time. Well, how do we identify someone who truly has the fear of God? What is the sign that can be seen in a person who really fears God?

Yes, the best sign of a person who has the fear of God is the sign that that they do not have the fear of men where God is concerned. What do you mean by the fear of men where God is concerned?

Well, it is something like this. If you fear people who do not have the fear of God, simply you too do not have the fear of God. People who do not have the fear of God would reject God all the time by their thoughts, words and actions. However, most of the time you might not find them directly rejecting God. But if they honor the work of the devil in any manner, they simply reject God. Look at the below scriptures:

Here is the story of three men who had the true fear of God...
(Dan 3:14-18)
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

The above story reveals different fruits of the true fear of God.

The true fear of God removes the fear of people from our life.
The true fear of God gives us the courage to stand before any one for the sake of the truth.
The true fear of God pays no attention to what other people think, talk, or criticize when the truth is revealed.
The true fear of God always tries to please God, not man.
The true fear of God does not care worldly friendships, relationships where the truth is concerned.
The true fear of God gives the stubborn faith (stubborn faith = faith without conditions and boundaries) in believing God under any circumstances.
The true fear of God would never give up.
The true fear of God destroys the fear of death in us.

Today, many Christians who claim to have the fear of God are silent before ungodly people when they reject God in any manner whatsoever as mentioned above. The silence of these God's people does not mean that they are innocent before God. Truly, if they have the fear of God, they would not be silent, but fight to defend God.

Remember, in reality, God does not want any man to defend Him. But if you stand for God before ungodly people for the sake of the TRUTH, God would definitely defend us when we are in trouble. So, if we want God to defend us in our distress, we must stand for God before ungodly people. If we cannot do it before ungodly people, then we have the fear of men where God is concerned. If we have the fear of men, we have no fear of God.

So, let's check for ourselves whether we truly have the fear of God.
