What is Idolatry?

Exodus 20:4-6
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments
.

The Christian Church considers the above scriptures as the second commandment of Ten Commandments, also known as 'IDOLATRY'.

This commandment (IDOLATRY) has two sections:
1. Thou shall not make... (Exodus 20:4)
2. Thou shall not bow down... (Exodus 20:5)

Therefore, nobody can interpret 'IDOLATRY' as only worshiping idols. Today, the devil has deceived many people by showing only one section of 'IDOLATRY' and has made them break the second section.
Many Christian denominations (different churches) justify this great sin as saying 'We do not worship, but we just keep them'.

Any church under the sun, that keeps any image in the form of any person commits IDOLATRY. No one can justify this sin as it is clearly explained in the Holy Bible. If anybody keeps idols in order to concentrate their minds on God, this clearly shows that they are not worshiping God in spirit.

Are we going to continue in the same sin just because our generations have been doing it or are we going to be obedient to the Word of God when the Holy Spirit reveals the truth to us???
Yes... The decision is ours. Our Lord Jesus says in John 14:15 that 'If ye love me, keep my commandments.'
