What is your calling in Christ?

What is your calling in Christ? In other words, what is the role you have received from Jesus Christ to play in your life?

Many believe that the kind of life they live right now is the calling they have received from Christ. If we take their thought as it is, then we can see Jesus Christ has diverse callings to his children. For instance, some people think Jesus Christ has called them to be pastors, some to be teachers. But the majority (99.9%) believe that they are called to be believers in the church.

Many believe that becoming believers in the church is the greatest calling, so almost everybody is trying hard to be a believer in the church. Even those pastors, who are very few in number, prefer to see the majority remaining as believers for the fact that these believers are the people who occupy the seats in the church buildings of these pastors.

Well, everybody seems to be happy under this set up. The only responsibility given to believers by their pastors is to rush to the church building on Sunday morning and mark their attendance before their pastors. Pastors have many believers in respect to the seating capacity of their church buildings, so that these pastors are fully satisfied with their ministry. Truly, some churches have so many believers that they have followed the method of cinemas who show movies at different time slots during the day such as 10.30am, 2.30pm, 6.00pm., for holding services on Sunday morning.

So called mega churches have several services on Sunday, where each service is confined to about one or maximum two hours. As the patrons of a cinema, who are waiting in the queue for the next show of  a movie, while the movie of the previous time slot is still going on, believers are waiting near the entrance to the church building waiting for their service while another service is still going on. As a result, no believers have any idea of the necessity of filling with the Spirit and worship the Lord when they gather together in the house of the Lord. (Truly, they have no enough time for worshiping in this manner where worshiping is the most important event of a church service)

What has gone wrong? Yes, don't you feel something is wrong here?

My friends, Jesus Christ has never called  his children to remain as believers in a church building for their lifetime. There is no ministry or set up as such in the New Testament. It is true that people should get together somewhere in order to share the Word of God. But this does not mean that majority are supposed to remain as believers or followers of so called church pastors.

Everybody has a responsible role in the church, which is the Body of Christ. The majority are called to be disciples at last. Everybody is expected to seek the Lord with all their soul and strength and receive divine power and authority to preach the Gospel by confirming the Word with signs and wonders.

(Mark 16:15-17)
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
(Mark 16:20)
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Today, we have many talented preachers, but we never see miracles in the church because the church has not followed the spiritual pattern the Lord has given to it in the beginning. Pastors have changed the first teachings to suit the existing environment in their church buildings. For instance, instead of healing people, pastors proudly announce obituaries of their believers who have passed away from fatal diseases such as cancer and leukemia. They have created a picture in the church that these things are ordinary happenings to the children of God.

May the Lord renew the vision of our present spiritual leaders with a new vision of making  qualified disciples who can go out and preach the Gospel to all nations with signs and wonders!
May the Lord give all of us the burden of seven billion people in the World today, many of them are heading towards the destruction!
Let all denominational barriers be broken in the name of Jesus Christ! Let's cast out lying demonic spirits of MONEY that are ruling over some of spiritual leaders in the name of Jesus Christ!
Let all get together as CHRISTIANS and get ready to stand against the coming persecution for the Church - the Body of Christ!
