Knowledge of Hebrew and Greek

Is the knowledge of Hebrew and Greek essential to have the perfect interpretation of The Scripture?

The answer is 'YES'. But it does not mean that you have to learn Hebrew and Greek in order to achieve this. If it were so, the Majority of the Children of God would be lost without the right interpretation of The Scripture for the fact that almost every Gentile does not know these two languages.

In the first place, we must understand that it is the Holy Spirit who opens our understanding to The Scripture when we read it with diligence.

(1John 2:27)  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Nevertheless, if someone is reading the Scripture in a translation which fails to give the right meaning of a scripture, The Holy Spirit would not open that person's understanding to its correct meaning in Hebrew or Greek. But when someone is desirous of receiving the right interpretation of God's Word in order to use it for the Gospel, The Holy Spirit would lead him to know it in the simplest way possible.

When a translation fails to give the right interpretation of a scripture, what is the simplest way of knowing it from Hebrew or Greek in which it was originally written?

The simplest way is to refer to Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon.

What is Strong's Concordance?

Well, it is the list of all the words in the King James Version of the Bible arranged in an alphabetical order and given the meaning in their original languages (in Greek and Hebrew). Every Greek and Hebrew word is given a number, which is referred to as Strong Number (The word 'Strong' comes from the name of the person who developed it, whose name is James Strong).  Each number is prefixed with the letter 'H' or 'G' to identify the language (Hebrew or Greek) that number refers to.

There are many Lexicon Bibles which provide each English word (in King James Version) with their Strong Number linked to a Dictionary which gives the respective Hebrew or Greek word with the right meaning/s in English. This is just like checking an unknown word from a Dictionary. Some Lexicons provide pronunciation of Original Hebrew and Greek words.

I use Blue Letter Lexicon Bible (Online) as it gives the pronunciations as well. The below is the link...

In my computer, I am using e-Sword software bible, which also gives Strong Numbers that relate to Hebrew and Greek words with meanings. You need to download this software and then install in your computer before using. A very comprehensive software with many features. I recommend it for anyone to use as a software bible on the PC. You need not pay for this software, but the developer accepts voluntary gifts through his website. Here is the link...

If you are aware of any other Lexicon better than Blue Letter, please share it here with others. If you know any other details that we should know regarding Greek and Hebrew languages in referring to them for interpretations, please share your knowledge here.
